Our Why

PBCM working in concert with and within the local church uses the scripture in building our understanding of humanity, and how we minister to a "broken humanity" - Psalms 34:18

PBCM augments the local church in promoting love (Matthew 22:37-40) and discipleship (Matthew 28:18-20) providing counseling, seminars, and training through the lens of a Biblical Worldview.

Our Mission

Mrs. Janie D. Wilson, Ph.D

Dr. Janie D. Wilson (or Sister Janie as she prefers to be called) is affiliated with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and is a certified biblical counselor.

Dr. Wilson is the founder and President/COO of the Peninsula Biblical Counseling Ministries (PBCM), an ACBC Certified Training Center. She is also the recipient of The Oder of the Palmetto Award (South Carolina’s highest civilian award) and the 2024 Remarkable Woman of Charelston.

Our Founder’s Vision

Genesis Chapter 3 chronicles the fall of mankind with the attendant consequences. PBCM is the outworking of a vision given to Dr. Janie D. Wilson to address these consequences through biblically-based counseling.

PBCM is an approved Section 501 (c)(3) with board of director oversight, adhering to the highest ethical standards focusing on full transparency and accountability.

Completed 9-month session of biblical counseling training for aspiring counselors
Provided over 100 counseling sessions
Completed training curriculum for 40 individuals
Led a marriage enrichment seminar
Awarded three grants to for biblical counseling program
